So it was just some random August day, I was scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed when something bout Far East Movement popped up.

It just so happens to be near my neighbourhood!!!!! What are the odds??? I was just so shiawase~~~~~I mean, rarely there are concerts in Penang, especially with people like Far East Movement!!! But then, it's here!!!! I HAD to buy the tickets!!! :D
So little old me took a hike to the nearest mall to purchase the Golden Ticket. Ended up just with one ticket for me ._. Sad. Asked around but not much ppl to accompany me, sobs. Ah well, at least it's early bird and I get a free drink. Much cheaper, weeeeeee.
So I twiddled my thumbs and hoped some familiar faces will be there. Well, at least my friend accompanied me (arigatou TwT). I just felt so out of place when I entered there. It was still early, but, the way everything is set up, with alcoholic beverages and neon lights and tables and VIP zones, you'd probably thought the whole thing felt like an outdoor nightclub @@ Even the girls there, makeup and dresses and shorts and crop tops. Me in my university T-shirt and jeans, haha, I was wearing so normal. Ah well, at least I didn't attract much attention.
I was there a little too early. While loads of people went off for the Bersih 4.0 in KL, I lounged around in Island Plaza until my friend arrived. As much as I told myself I can handle it on my own in the concert, honestly? With such an adult and unfamiliar atmosphere, I felt...scared? Like a country girl stepping into the big city kind of feeling. I wasn't dressed the part, so, I didn't feel like I belong.
The concert started off with cultural performances to give that Merdeka feel, but during that time, only a trickle of people came, and they were dressed to the nines: makeup, high heels, short shorts, fancy revealing tops. The crowd was mostly composed of the concert crew. Foreigners came to the concert too. I felt bad when Sars from Mars and others were on but the crowd gave such little response. They just stood round the tables, sipping beer and chatting with friends. Only some at the front and back raised their hands and waved to the beat, including me. I was way at the back initially, letting the fresh beats and music wash over me while I stood by a table. It was rather calming, an escape from my worries, even though the beats boomed out and wasn't exactly tranquil music or anything, haha. Still, it was nice.

When Noize Faktor came up and I was handed a glowing styrofoam stick, I just had to let out my childish self. I jumped, I waved, I screamed, the adrenaline felt amazing. Especially when you're in front row, hoho.
Took a break for a while and went to claim my free drink. No alochol, mind you, just plain ol' Redbull.
There was also Irwan and Phatt from Amsterdam. Damn they're good.
Far East Movement though, immediately the crowd took up the whole place.
It was damn wild, with a big blowup duck, shirts and even one of the DJs themselves thrown into the crowd. Damn I want that shirt ._. sobs. Felt like I should have worn my new black H&M lucky neko dress. Maybe Far East Movement will notice me more, haha, cuz their shirts have lucky nekos at the back. I admit there was a little bunch of sour grapes, but ah well, I enjoyed the concert overall, it was damn nice. Redbull had never tasted sweeter, and the night had never been more fun than this time. With the speakers booming in my ears so loud, and me being the crazy kid jumping up and down, I felt like a grandma after that: ears deaf, head aches, legs sore. I think my neck hurts, too. And I'm still alive late at nite after just a can of Redbull, lol. I'm surprised my throat is still fine.
I should hit the hay now. New phone, new books, new experience. So to the new semester, please treat me well, haha. Oyasumi~~~~~~
