Damn, it has been a long time since I posted something. It's almost the end of the year already, just, wow. How time flies.
So after that Zero Limits concert, I was back in university again, this time to start my First Year. Psychology. Ah, the study of the human mind :3 Very interesting topics they have, though the course is very research-based. I mean, it's SPSS and statistics and journals and theories everyday. Every. Day. Ha. Ha. Ha. There are just so many articles and research backing up or countering one another, it's hard for me to keep track. The only topics I'm interested in are mostly emotions and relationships, haha. Mostly because I can relate to them, but I aspire to work in the fields of counselling or clinical psychology someday. Hopefully some research based on love <3 I wish I can be a relationship coach someday. I don't have the right skills now, but someday, maybe.
Mostly I'm busy with my course and society activities. I joined Baking Society again, even though I wasn't very active last academic year. But this year, I get to be the Head of Baking Session and teach others ^^ Well, more like guiding them, really, if they have any problems with the procedures, but I tried. I'm still learning, even though I have experience in baking. Sigh, if only my macarons aren't such failures, and to think I thought I got down the techniques right. Guess I still need some brushing up. All in all, it was a fun term. I love the committee members of Baking Society this year :)
I'm also a Secretary and PR in Gaming Society as well, but I feel like I still needed improvement in contributing to the club. I'm not very good in tech stuff, not very familiar with some genre of games, and I tend to have anxiety when it comes to engaging with others at times. But I'll get there. I just needed a confidence boost. I'm just glad I get the opportunity to work in the society and am able to meet with the members :) I'm happy with the committee in Gaming Society as well.
In December we have study break until the end of the year because we have exams in January. And, of course, there's Steam sales <3 I'm not an active gamer on Steam, but recently I logged back in and tried to find more games to play. Team Fortress 2 seemed fun, so I downloaded that, but I only played for a while, think I'll continue playing with my uni mates when I go back in January, after the exams.
BUT, THERE'S AMNESIA: MEMORIES~~~~~
Finally, FINALLY, I found some of my favourite visual novels ^^ That, Clannad and the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni series. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, AMNESIA HAS 90% DISCOUNT OMG!!!! IT FINALLY BOILS DOWN TO ONLY RM5.60, SHIAWASE~~~~~~ I can even afford to buy the Higurashi games, life feels awesome :D Too bad I can't afford Clannad, it's RM80 after the dicsount, sad :( Some day, maybe.
BUT HEY, LET'S FOCUS ON AMNESIA~~~~~
For those of you who don't know Amnesia: Memories, no, it's not Amnesia the horror game, it's a Japanese otome game, something like a dating simulation game where you're the heroine and you get to pick which guy you want to date and just follow along the story. The goal is to pick the right responses in order to get a happy ending with your guy character. Otherwise, you might get a bad or normal ending. In this game, the heroine basically lost her memories because a spirit bumped into her consciousness and merged with her, accidentally replacing her memories with his presence. In order to get them back, she got to travel to one of the four dimensions: Heart, Spade, Clover and Diamond. Heart is Shin, the tsundere kouhai (junior); Spade is Ikki, the popular guy whose eyes can attract girls and thus have a fan club of his own; Clover is Kent, the nerd who wants to understand the ways of feelings in a scientific manner; and Diamond is Toma, the big brother figure with a yandere side. These are the four guys whom you can choose, but there's a fifth guy, the Joker in the cards: Ukyo, the mysterious man with a split personality. Whenever anime guy characters have darkened undereyes, you know they're cray-cray @@ Brrrrr.
So for the first two days since I got the game, I attempted to woo Toma in the Diamond world, haha. He has always been my favourite character since I watched the anime adaptation of the game years ago. He's a little overprotective, but hey, I like big brother types >///< My choices led me to 2 bad endings: getting caged by Toma, or being pushed down into the well by Ukiyo. Sigh, sad. With the help of other people's walkthough, I finally got the normal ending of Toma leaving me for good, and the happy ending of being together with him. So that's one guy down, haha.
Thing is, every time I try to play the game, my laptop keeps crashing >< I don't get it. It's something to do with my display drivers I guess. I have tried to update it, roll back it, and even uninstall and reinstall it, but nada, it's the same video_tdr_failure or smthing like that, sad. Anyone having the same problem? I played Skyrim for some time and it kept going blue screen during that as well.
I now try to get the endings for Shin's part, too, but too many crashes >< Guess I should focus on my studies for now. Exams in January, wargh.
SPAMMING PICTURES TIME >:D
